The Free Radical Theory of Aging

The search for a free radical theory of aging in 1954 opened a new world of science and the possibility of delaying the aging process. With electron microscopy, the researchers could study the cell and see the free-radicals and antioxidants in their first job.

Radical theory of aging was discovered in 1954 by the chemist at the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Denham Harmon. He said that is because of the aging of the population spread far and may be one reason why.

This thing turned out to be what we call oxidative stress. As your body gets all of its metabolic functions, so that everything works to remove only a few molecules of oxygen and become very unstable and reactive molecules called free radicals.

Free radicals, Cancer cells typically perform a variety of important functions in the body, such as fighting the flow of blood to kill infection. But when these particles move freely and too much, they are destructive and cause oxidative stress.

Oxidative stress in the body is the same process, a rotten apple or rusty metal, except that in the middle. It causes premature aging, including loss of muscle, stiff cloth and dry skin and wrinkles.

Aging can be defined as a process that reduces the number of healthy cells. Radical theory is that its cells die, as the continuous bombardment of free radicals on. Age, and are increasingly affected and dead cells, the body loses its strength, flexibility and the ability to control the disease.

I call some of the major experts on anti-aging in the world, and what they say about free radicals:

“The scientists believe that free radicals the cause of nearly all known factors for diseases, cardiovascular diseases, arthritis, cancer, cataracts are. In fact, free radicals, the main cause in the post-treatment.

Dr. Lester Packer, PhD. The most important antioxidant in the world of experts

can “free radicals play an important role in almost all diseases affecting determine, either directly or else.”

A. Russell Blaylock, MD

“There are many problems that my fellow anti-aging medicine does not agree, but there is almost unanimous: the damage of free radicals in the heart of aging.”

Robert C. Atkins, MD

What causes free radicals? Excess free radicals have a number of external stress factors, such as are caused, among other things, the following:

or toxins and pollutants

Pesticides and plant protection

Stress or

or exercises

or chronic

or processed food and food additives

chronic inflammation

Smoke

UV radiation or

Electromagnetic radiation in the environment

Later, you can see, Harmon.

In the following years, Mr. Harmon had a clear effect of oxidative stress can be reversed with antioxidant nutrients.

scientific significance of free radical theory.

Many years passed before this theory was adopted in the scientific community. But today, including medical anti-aging medicine is a scientific as a fact.

Somewhere in the future, a theory Dr. Harmon Alternatively, you can compare, Galileo invented the telescope, the discovery of gravitation Newton and Einstein’s relativity theory. Their results have to extend significant impact on the role of nutrition and health, the lives of the people than any other known.

Today, the antioxidants present in the media throughout the world, why. Antioxidants provides you with a better health and longer life for all, this is a good idea, a range of foods, diet rich in antioxidants to do as possible. A diet rich in antioxidants, ie at least nine servings of fruits and vegetables a day, most people do, although for this purpose. The real solution is to eat more food exceptionally high in antioxidants, antioxidants or .
